The sweet life at Sugar Fest

Join the staff at the West Baton Rouge Museum for the 16th annual SugarFest this Sunday, a sweet celebration of all things sugarcane. Kids and families can learn about Louisiana’s unique history with the crop, view historic craft demonstrations, watch a mule-driven cane driver in action, chow down on raw sugar cane and take part in various fun arts and craft activities. Live musical acts will sweeten the air, and you can indulge your sugar cravings with the various tasty treats on display. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free to the public.
