The Strangers on DVD

This is not something to watch if you are easily spooked and live near the woods, or anywhere outside of a police-patrolled gated community, really. But for the brave of heart, this Bryan Bertino-directed thriller should be a good warm-up for some Halloween frights. Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman star as a couple renting a vacation house that becomes the target of random acts of terrorism by three masked assailants. With a taught, almost play-like script, The Strangers is an old school, invasion horror show that really hits home. Rated R.
