The Pelican House to celebrate first anniversary

The Pelican House is inviting patrons to help the local tap room and whiskey bar celebrate its first year of business.

The event, dubbed “The One One-Hundredth of a Century Party,” kicks off Friday, April 18, at 6 p.m. and will feature a crawfish boil, free beer, drink specials and music from the Dirty Bourbon River Show at 9 p.m. The first 100 people through the door will receive free Pelican House koozies.

Since opening last April, The Pelican House has hired a new chef, expanded its food menu, completed construction on a 2,000-square-foot patio and launched catering services at its 2572 Citiplace Ct. location.

For spring, The Pelican House has also added a few new menu items, such as a bourbon-smoked barbeque poboy, fish taco poboy, bacon cheeseburger poboy, cereal-dusted chicken fingers and fried catfish.
