About a Boy and Dan in Real Life scribe Peter Hedges returns to familiar family-focused territory this Friday with the whimsical, fairytale-like dramedy The Odd Life of Timothy Green. When a childless couple buries in their backyard a box containing all of their wants and desires, their hopes and dreams—including a son or daughter of their very own—a child is soon born. The catch is, little Timothy is not your average everyday kid.
As parents Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton raise their son, dreams blur with reality, and their miraculous offspring’s coming-of-age is filled with humor, challenges and even heartbreak.
