Baton Rouge’s homegrown handbag line Urban Kitty, owned by designer Sherry Brown, made its New York City trade show debut in September at AccesoriesTheShow. Anticipating Urban Kitty’s entrance at the competitive accessories exposition, Brown shared her preparations in her blog, green.urban-kitty.com, including leaking snapshots of the line’s new handbags. Brown hopes the show opens new markets for her line, which retails here and in Florida, Pennsylvania, North Dakota and South Carolina.
