Take your Blu-ray to “11”

If you’ve already made the jump to Blu-ray, there’s still a Stonehenge-sized hole in your collection, because This is Spinal Tap has been unavailable in the emerging high-definition format. That is, until now. A gorgeous edition of the original mock rockumentary and one of the funniest ad-libbed satires ever is new in stores this week. So eat a shark sandwich, smell the glove and laugh as David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel and Derek Smalls climb out of a “Hell Hole,” and past “Big Bottoms” on their way to rock-n-roll infamy. The film stars Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, Harry Shearer and Rob Reiner, with hilarious guest appearances by Bruno Kirby, Ed Begley Jr., Fran Drescher, Fred Willard and Billy Crystal. Rated R.
