Tabby, Chris Thomas King give rare performance
This father and son haven’t shared the stage in about five years, since the closing night of Tabby’s Blues Box years ago. The Chris Thomas King Band featuring Tabby Thomas, king of the swamp blues, puts on a rare performance Friday night at Chelsea’s Café. Chris’s latest project is his appearances in the Smithsonian Channel’s six-part documentary series, Sound Revolution, hosted by Morgan Freeman, which began airing in hour-long weekly increments Nov. 16. He’s featured among artists such as B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Etta James, Eric Clapton, and Carlos Santana. Don’t miss this rare performance Friday night at 10 p.m.
