Symphony everywhere this weekend

The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra holds several holiday events this week, starting with the Home for the Holidays concert Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Baton Rouge River Center. Featuring the Baton Rouge Symphony Chorus, this concert is a celebration of holiday music that includes full orchestral renditions of classical arrangements and light-hearted favorites. If you can’t make it Thursday, Sunday features a family matinee at 2 p.m., and an encore performance at 7:30 p.m. And on Friday night at 7 p.m., St. Francisville will host the first of the Symphony’s annual Christmas Brass, Percussion & Harp concerts at Hemingbough Plantation.
