Swine Palace brings a famous Merchant to life

Shakespeare’s famous The Merchant of Venice will be performed at LSU’s Swine Palace Theatre starting this Wednesday. Shakespeare’s historic dark comedy, adapted by George Judy and directed by Joanna Battles, touches on themes such as race, religion and sexuality. Evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and will run through Saturday. A Sunday afternoon performance starts at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased online here.
