Sweet Frog to join Baton Rouge’s self-serve fro-yo scene … Tony Chachere’s releases first new seasoning in two decades

Go-go fro-yo: Opening soon, Sweet Frog Premium Frozen Yogurt on College Drive is the latest self-serve fro-yo spot to hit Baton Rouge. Serving up the frozen treat in flavors ranging from angel food cake to more esoteric flavors like maple bacon donut, it will make an interesting addition to Baton Rouge’s growing fro-yo scene. To boldly go: For the first time in 20 years, Tony Chachere’s is releasing a new seasoning to complement its signature product. The new Bold Seasoning is being released first in Louisiana, says President and CEO Don Chachere, who adds that it was created “in direct response to consumers who have been asking for a spice blend that retains the wonderful flavors unique to our products but with an added kick of heat that people have come to expect from our South Louisiana Creole cuisine.” Look for the new Tony’s on store shelves late this month.
