Stop-motion this Friday

Fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach will want to see stop-motion master Henry Selick’s whimsical and thrilling new feature film, Coraline. When a young girl, voiced by Dakota Fanning, discovers a secret pathway to an alternate world in her house she is in for a spine-tingling adventure. Her new button-eyed parents seem, like everything else, to be much better than the real versions, but when things turn creepy, and they attempt to keep her forever, Coraline is in a race against time to get back home and save her real family. Teri Hatcher co-stars. Rated PG.
