Still ‘Undefeated’

A hit on the festival circuit and nominated for an Oscar for Best Documentary, high school football drama Undefeated arrives on DVD this week. From the guys behind Last Cup: Road to the World Series of Beer Pong, Undefeated is an engrossing look at the trials and tribulations of the Manassas Tigers, a downtrodden team at an underfunded inner city school. But Coach Bill Courtney hopes to change that, to inspire his young men to greatness on the field and off of it. The cameras follow a handful of these teenagers to show their struggles off the field as well and how one coach and their devoted teammates help lift them up every day and make an exhilarating run for the championship.
