‘SPILL’ debuts at LSU Reilly Theatre

Deepwater Horizon/BP oil spill debut tonight. Swine Palace’s production of SPILL is the co-creation of playwright Leigh Fondakowski and visual artist Reeva Wortel. The production is based on interviews with South Louisiana residents in the wake of the spill. The art installation includes life-sized portraits of those interviews and extends the life of the story past the play’s final scene. Both the play and visual installation can be seen at the Reilly Theatre on Tower Drive. Wednesday’s performance is at 7:30 p.m. and is pay-what-you-can. A sneak preview takes place Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The play and installation will run through March 30, with performances every Wednesday-Sunday. Wednesday-Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $28. Student and senior discounts are available. Read 225‘s story.
