Slapstick on the lawn
Silent film star Harry Langdon’s classic film The Strong Man comes to life on the big screen once more this Saturday as the Baton Rouge Gallery continues their annual Movies and Music on the Lawn series with a run of favorite comedic hits. The Strong Man is an epic slapstick battle, with two young lovers separated by war struggling to reunite–and accidentally saving a whole town from thieves, crooks and bootleggers in the process. The soundtrack will be provided by local band Righteous Buddha. Bring a blanket and bug spray, and be prepared to laugh yourself silly. Tickets are $5 for the public, free for gallery members. 8 p.m. batonrougegallery.org
