Shipwrecked Family Adventure in West Baton Rouge
Head to the West Baton Rouge Museum this Sunday to explore artifacts discovered 4,000 feet below the Gulf of Mexico from a 200-year-old shipwreck off the coast of Louisiana. Then, enjoy the challenge of building and floating your own toy boat, building a working compass, making a telescope and using hourglasses and measuring devices that were once used aboard ships. The journey, which begins at 2 p.m., concludes with a 3 p.m. screening of the film Swiss Family Robinson. No passports are required. However, registration is requested by calling 336-2422, ext. 15. westbatonrougemuseum.com
