Seven Pounds of Will Smith

If the title Atonement hadn’t been used last year, it would work well for this new drama starring Will Smith as an IRS agent with a secret who sets out to improve the lives of seven strangers. But what is Smith’s motivation, and where will these acts of extreme kindness lead? Director Gabriele Muccino who helmed Smith’s The Pursuit of Happyness, strikes a similar tone here in what looks like Smith’s best dramatic performance in years.
