Haunts return to the big screen in another edition of the terrifying franchise, Paranormal Activity. The fifth installment, titled The Marked Ones, is a spin-off of the successful fourth entry. This film follows Jesse (played by Andrew Jacobs) as mysterious forces pursue him while friends and family try to save him and his sanity. Directed and written by Christopher Landon, who wrote the second, third and fourth entries of the series, The Marked Ones continues the horror trend of found-footage spectacle and scares. Though critics are less and less impressed with each film, crowds keep returning. Still, each sequel has had more diminishing returns. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out with die-hard fans. Rated R. Check out the trailer below.
