Fake cops get into real trouble in a new comedy in theaters now. Damon Wayans Jr. and Jake Johnson star in Let’s Be Cops. Directed by Luke Greenfield (The Girl Next Door, The Animal), the late summer film focuses on two struggling guys who dress as police officers for a costume party and become neighborhood sensations. However, the pals decide to keep the gag going and start investigating real crime, putting their fake badges on the line. Comedy veterans Keegan-Michael Key and Rob Riggle co-star, and Andy Garcia stars as the main villain. Though it remains to be seen if Wayans Jr. and Johnson are good box office bets, their chemistry and wit is a sure thing and has been on display on shows such as New Girl and the short-lived cult hit Happy Endings.
