Baton Rouge’s chapter of the American Advertising Federation hosts DesignBR this week. The free event kicks off Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Arts Council’s Community Room Gallery (427 Laurel St.). At the showcase, attendees can see the top 20 pieces and limited edition prints chosen by an esteemed panel of judges. The exhibit shows off the area’s talented graphic designers and artists creating an original work highlighting the Capital City. A best of show award will be presented to the top professional and student entries. All selected pieces will be used by Visit Baton Rouge to showcase the city’s beauty and promote special events highlighted in the artwork. Get more information.
