She made America “Blue” in the ’90s, and now she’s performing in the Capital City. LeAnn Rimes takes the stage at the Event Center in L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $50 online. Rimes rose to fame in 1996 at the age of 13 with the release of the Bill Mack song “Blue.” Throughout her career, the singer has won numerous Grammys, Billboard Music Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards. Last year, she released Spitfire, which featured her most personal lyrics to date and garnered critical acclaim. She will also soon appear on a VH1 reality show, LeAnn & Eddie, with husband Eddie Cibrian. The show premieres next month.
