See a screwball comedy at Theatre Baton Rouge – The local theatre company brings the laughs in the final performances of You Can’t Take It With You.
The local theatre company brings the laughs in the final performances of You Can’t Take It With You. The classic play from Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman gets a makeover from Theatre Baton Rouge this weekend. The production pits two families against each other. In the middle of it all is Alice, the daughter of the Sycamores, and Tony, the son of the Kirbys. The couple is madly in love and wants to marry, but the families have some strong reservations. This will be the final directing credit for Keith Dixon who is leaving Theatre Baton Rouge later this summer. Performances will be held Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25.
