Scuttlebutt: Miriam Juban retires … New restaurant yet to be named

Miriam Juban, who’s worked at Juban’s Creole Restaurant since it opened its doors in 1983, retired from the restaurant management a few weeks ago. Juban continues to be a stockholder and the owner, but won’t be working day-to-day. The Juban family is planning a retirement party for her, but a date has yet to be set. The old Semolina’s building off College Drive sold for $400,000 last week to Double RM, which will lease it to a yet-to-be-named restaurant operator.  225 Dine will keep you posted.
