Scuttlebutt: Fairy Dust takes on the Food Network Challenge

Fairy Dust-up: Denham Springs bakery Fairy Dust Cakes will appear on an upcoming episode of the popular food face-off show Food Network Challenge, in which contestants battle each other to make the biggest and most outrageous example of a particular food in a limited time period. The challenge in this episode? Extreme Mardi Gras cakes, of course. Father and daughter team Kyleen Kiger-Smith and Greg Kiger will represent the local bakery, known for elaborately sculpted fondant creations, on the show. Will they walk away with the $10,000 prize, or will they taste bitter defeat? Find out this Sunday at 7 p.m.
