Scuttlebutt: Chelsea’s loses liquor license
If you drop by Chelsea’s Café, you may not be able to have an Abita Wheat with your hummus. The much-contested case of Chelsea’s liquor license suspension is tangled up in court yet again, and owner David Remmetter has voluntarily ceased selling alcohol pending word from the Alcohol and Tobacco Control Board about the state of his license. Remmetter and his attorney, Brandon Brown, are hoping for a quick resolution to this latest quagmire, so with luck and cooperation, customers won’t be pining for a pint for long.
