Scuttlebutt: Camelot Club chef leaves … Twin Peaks Restaurant to open on Siegen
Back to the Big Easy: Chef Brady Broussard, executive chef at the Camelot Club downtown, is returning to New Orleans this month after a year and a half heading the kitchen at the private club. Broussard cited wishing to be near his ailing father as the reason for the move. General Manager Jimmy Ward says the club will begin a nationwide search for his replacement. Sous Chef Brandon Rowe will head the kitchen temporarily in the meantime. Peek at Peaks: Twin Peaks Restaurant plans to open its first Louisiana location in November on Siegen Lane. The restaurant will go into the old Shoney’s building, which was recently home for Osaka Japanese restaurant. Twin Peaks falls into the same category as Hooters, employing an all-female waitstaff clad in skimpy uniforms. The restaurant specializes in guy-friendly dishes, such as hamburgers, wings and nachos, along with ice-cold draft beer.
