Rush to theatres for this drama – Ron Howard’s latest film has it all—high-speed races, a love story, biting dialogue.
Ron Howard’s latest film has it all—high-speed races, a love story, biting dialogue. And it’s based on a true story. Rush opens nationwide this weekend and focuses on the rivalry between Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda during the 1976 season. Hunt, played by Chris Hemsworth (a.k.a. Thor), is a brash British driver who was known for his action-packed way around a track. His competition is Lauda, played by Daniel Brühl. Lauda is an Austrian with a fierce demeanor who hates losing and can’t stand Hunt’s cool. Rush is the second collaboration between Howard and screenwriter Peter Morgan, who wrote Frost/Nixon. After years of safe bets, this could be the kick that gets Howard back on track in the director’s chair. Rated R. Check out the trailer below.
