Runway to Realway: Agi Sam
The fall 2014 men’s fashion shows are coming to a close, but that does not mean we can’t talk about the good shows that have already occurred. I was introduced to Agi & Sam this season for the first time and, I have to say, I am impressed. The South African pair have a fresh take on casual attire. As a woman, I would wear just about every piece that went down the runway. This week, I chose the runway look that caught my eye the most. Granted, it was the first look down the runway, but that doesn’t mean it cannot be the best!
The aspect of the runway look that I like most is the scale of the check print on the coat. Small checks can be dizzying and more subtle, but the large boxes are impressive. The white shirt and white pants are not exactly practical for everyday wear, so I chose a dark pair of Levi’s and a charcoal French Connection blazer for the “Real Way” look. The button-down from J. Crew has small checks, but larger than retail usually offers. A cool North Face beanie will keep you warm, and it covers a bad hair day. Win-win? Certainly.
Don’t forget a pair of grey suede oxfords. Those neon yellow soles are hard to miss! They are both cool and a safety precaution. And let’s be real here, you can’t beat that.
