Darkness falls across the land. 6:30 p.m. is close at hand. That’s when the Zombie Bash sends ghoulishly dressed Baton Rougeans limping and crawling down River Road for one of the more entertaining 5K run/walks of the year. An event organized by Of Moving Colors, the night features food, costumes, a party and flash mob-style performance of Michael Jackson’s Thriller dance number. The Zombie Bash is Oct. 5, and starts in front of the 13th Gate downtown. Put on your best zombie costume and makeup, and register at active.com. What better way to celebrate the Halloween season than to dress up like a zombie and, to paraphrase Vincent Price, “terrorize y’alls neighborhoods.” For more Halloween frights, check out this issue.
