Rum with Louisiana flavor
The Louisiana Spirits craft distillery in Lacassine is preparing to release the first cases of Bayou Rum, made with Louisiana sugarcane and molasses as its key ingredients. With two varieties planned to hit shelves by early June, the distillery hopes to “recapture” Louisiana’s historic role as a sugarcane rum producer, utilizing local ingredients and a historic “sugar house” recipe. Inaugural toast events are planned for the upcoming months. Click here to find out more.
