Roundup: PJ’s Coffee opens Siegen location … Izzo’s opens Mall of La. location … Holly Clegg’s cookbook in USA Today

Coffee times four: PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans has opened its fourth Baton Rouge location on Siegen Lane. The coffee shop occupies the old Camille’s Sidewalk Café spot, where Starbucks Coffee was previously a tenant. Charles V. Guilbault Jr., the franchisee for PJ’s Siegen location, says the plan is to serve breakfast and lunch at the shop. A fifth local PJ’s, this one just outside the LSU campus in College Row at Northgate, is preparing to open this month or in December. Izzo’s app to come: Izzo’s Illegal Burrito has opened a new location: in the food court at the Mall of Louisiana. Izzo’s now has eight locations in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Covington, Lake Charles and Lafayette. The chain is looking at more locations in other markets in Louisiana and outside the state, along with an app, which will allow customers to order through their smartphones. Smart eats for the holidays: Local author Holly Clegg’s Trim & Terrific Diabetic Cooking was picked by USA Today for a roundup of diabetes-friendly cookbooks for the holidays. Highlighted recipes included banana bread, oatmeal white chocolate cookies and banana pancakes. Click here to read the whole article.
