Roundup: Cupcakes coming to The Boulevard … PJ’s Coffee plans Siegen location

Sweet news: A new local bakery is coming to the Mall of Louisiana’s outdoor Boulevard shopping area. Owned by sister team Lauren and Lindsey Whittle, Cupcake Couture will feature a rotating menu of gourmet-flavored cupcakes, as well as soft drinks and coffee for weary shoppers seeking a sweet pick-me-up. The Whittles hope to have the place up and running by November 15. Get into your ‘PJs’: PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans is set to open a location on Siegen Lane where Camille’s Sidewalk Café formerly served diners. Ironically, that space was once occupied by Starbucks Coffee. PJ’s has put up banners and signs on the site, but the company did not respond to requests about an opening date. This will be the fifth PJ’s in Baton Rouge; a Gonzales location is also in the works.
