Roundup: Buffalo Wild Wings opens second location in BR … City Club considers expansion … Starbucks rolls out Trenta cups in La. … Calendars closing Coursey location

Seconds for LSU: Buffalo Wild Wings has opened its second location in Baton Rouge in the College Row at Northgate shopping center, just outside LSU. The national sports bar chain has 10 locations in Louisiana. City gets bigger: The City Club will start meeting with members next week to get input on a $4.5 million planned expansion of the downtown facility. The work would add 2,570 square feet to the club, including a new outdoor courtyard and banquet kitchen on the second floor and an underground bar. The changes would allow the North Boulevard club to accommodate more large parties. Bigger is better: Starbucks began a phased-in nationwide rollout Tuesday of its Trenta cup, which can be filled with just under a quart’s worth of iced beverages such as coffee, tea and lemonade. The new cups were simultaneously introduced in 14 states, including Louisiana. The nationwide rollout should be complete by May 3. Starbucks Corp. says the mega-cup holds 31 ounces—“trenta” means 30 in Italian—and costs about 50 cents more than the 20-ounce Venti size. End of the Calendar: Calendar’s Café, a longtime Baton Rouge casual dining chain, will shut down its last location on Jan. 28. The Coursey Boulevard restaurant will close about a year after the Calendar’s on Perkins shut down. A manager says about 25 employees worked at the Calendar’s on Coursey.
