Roundup: Beausoleil on ‘Deep South’ list of best places to eat

Best of Beausoleil: Beausoleil is one of 50 restaurants included on Deep South magazine’s “Where to Eat in the South in 2012” list, and it’s the only Baton Rouge representative on it. “Serving up dishes like Seared Foie Gras French toast, Truffled Fried Oysters and Braised Veal Cheek and Conecuh Sausage Cassoulet, Beausoleil hit the Baton Rouge dining scene in October 2011, taking over the Silver Spoon,” Deep South says of the restaurant on Jefferson Highway, near the intersection at Corporate Boulevard. “Chef Nathan Gresham previously led the opening of the city’s location of Galatoire’s Bistro and has built the Beausoleil menu around fresh, local ingredients.” Divided up by state, the list spotlights nine Louisiana restaurants, seven of which are either in Lafayette or New Orleans.
