Roundup: Baton Rouge Bar Bounce … Cane’s hits century mark

Pub crawling: Nine downtown bars and restaurants, including Lucy’s Retired Surfer’s Bar & Restaurant, The Roux House, The King Bar & Bistro and more, will offer patrons discounted beverages from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday night for the Baton Rouge Bar Bounce. Food blogger, 225 contributor and upcoming competitor on FOX’s MasterChef Jay Ducote will appear as the celebrity pub crawler for the event. The Baton Rouge-based chicken tenders chain will hit that milestone when it opens a location in Laurel, Miss., on June 7. To mark the event, Cane’s will hold customer appreciation events at all of its restaurants on that day. Cane’s will mark its 15th anniversary in August.
