Pizza parlor to open by St. Patty’s: Schlittz & Giggles, well-known downtown eating and drinking establishment, has purchased a site to expand their operation in the  Perkins Road Hardware development. Schlitz and Giggles intends to have their new restaurant up and open for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. No more summer oysters: FDA’s Michael Taylor plans to combat the deadly bacteria vibrio vulnificus by requiring Gulf-raised oysters to undergo post-production processing to kill the bacteria from May to October.
