Spreading the love north: Rocco’s New Orleans Style Po-Boys is set to open its third location in the Capital Region next month. A restaurant in the Zachary Retail Center on Old Scenic Highway in Zachary is set to open June 20, says Scott Lemoine, who is a part owner. Rocco’s is also scouting locations in Denham Springs and looking at opening franchise locations across the South.Smoking called, said it wants its barstool back: The Caterie won rezoning status as a bar from the Metro Council, and now the music venue has returned indoor smoking. The owners of Caterie, which has been on Perkins since the 1970s, said they’ve lost business since the state banned smoking in restaurants. The place will still serve food, but can now better compete with surrounding bars such as The Bulldog, Happy Note and Duvic’s, whose zoning status allows smoking.
