Round-up: Middendorf’s reopens old building … Community Coffee offers donation program

Middendorf’s back in action: Legendary catfish restaurant Middendorf’s has reopened in their old building this week. The historic facility, badly damaged by hurricane Ike, has been under renovation for the past year, forcing the restaurant to offer service from a newer outbuilding. The south Louisiana standby celebrates their 75th anniversary this year, making the move back just in time. Community for soldiers: Community Coffee is offering a “Military Match” program. Purchase a care package of four bags of select Community Coffees for a soldier overseas, and Community will ship four extra bags free. You can check out the details at their website by clicking here.
