Round-up: Kleinpeter expands territory … Camellia Grill on hold … Latil’s Landing awarded

The milkman cometh: If you find yourself in an Alexandria or Lake Charles grocery store, take a second look at the dairy section: Family-owned Kleinpeter Farms has expanded their service route further north and west. Stores in the new service areas will stock various Kleinpeter Dairy products, including their 12 flavors of local-ingredient-heavy ice cream. No flowers for Perkins Rowe: With the threat of foreclosure looming, a planned Perkins Rowe location for Camellia Grill has been put on hold. The B.R. branch of the New Orleans landmark restaurant had been scheduled to open by the end of the year. Latil’s lands an award: Latil’s Landing, at the Houmas House plantation, has been designated a Distinguished Restaurant of America. The award is limited to restaurants that pass a rigorous anonymous inspection of cuisine, ambience, and service.
