Round ball arrives

LSU’s men and women of the court return to action this month with the Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball teams both tipping off. First, the women face Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 8 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The men’s regular season home opener against Northwestern State follows on Nov. 16.

Player’s to watch: For the men, Johnny O’Bryant III. The best-performing junior returning on a senior-less team, O’Bryant should step up as the team leader this season. For the ladies, freshman Jasmine Rhodes is a versatile guard and the top-rated prospect out of the state of Alabama.
