Rotolo’s teams up with local schools for Mother’s Day tomato plants

In celebration of Earth Day and National Recycling Month, Rotolo’s collected customers’ plastic Rotolo’s cups in exchange for free pizza as a part of a “cup buyback program.” Those cups will be repurposed as environmentally friendly Mother’s Day gifts for south Louisiana moms.

Nearly 2,000 students from eight Baton Rouge area schools will receive the recycled cups, filled with soil and a fresh tomato plant as part of Rotolo’s Mother’s Day plant giveaway.

Participating schools include Our Lady of Mercy School, Cedarcrest-Southmoor Elementary, St. Thomas More Preschool, Parkview Elementary, Wedgewood Elementary, Riveroaks Elementary, Galvez Primary and Eastside Elementary.
