Roller derby doubleheader at the River Center Saturday

Baton Rouge’s Capital Defenders come back home for a roller derby bout against the Mississippi Rollergirls Saturday. The match will be interesting for the Defenders as they team up with the Emerald Coast Roller Derby team in hopes of a win. The second match will feature the Red Stick Roller Derby All-Stars team facing off against the Mississippi Rollergirls All-Stars team. Doors open at 5 p.m. The event starts at 6 p.m. at the River Center. Tickets are $12 in advance, $14 at the door and $17 for VIP seating. There will be an after-party at Mud and Water.
