Road trip: The Walkmen, Buddy Guy, Dan Aykroyd and Buble

Hot off the release of critical smash, You & Me, New York’s The Walkmen perform at New Orleans’ The Republic tonight, Oct. 8. The Little Ones and The City Life open this night of alternative rock.  Doors at 8 p.m. Show at 9. $12 in advance, $14 at the door. 18 and up. The legendary blues guitarist Buddy Guy brings his signature polka-dotted Fender Strat and scorching tunes to New Orleans’ House of Blues this Saturday night, Oct. 11. Comedian Dan Aykroyd along with others will be there to provide the backbone to the bluesman’s hits. Doors at 8 p.m. Show at 9. $40 online. 18 and up.  The bad boy pop crooner Michael Bublé comes to Lafayette on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Those searching for risqué pictures should probably stay at home, but those wanting to sing-along to familiar hits should drive out to the Cajundome! 8 p.m. Tickets start at $49.50.
