Road trip: Lil Wayne in Lafayette, Tom Jones everywhere

In the past two weeks, New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne has saved the music industry with the release of Tha Carter III. Selling a little more than a million copies already, Wayne, aka Weezy, made the highest debut since 50 Cent’s The Massacre in 2005. Relentlessly working, his tour heads to the Lafayette Cajundome on June 27, 8 p.m. Tickets start at $48. Tom Jones is known for two things: a booming voice and chest hair.
