River City Jazz Masters season announced – First concerts are Thursday, October 3
The Arts Council and River City Jazz Coalition announced its 2013-2014 River City Jazz Masters season today.
The series will begin Thursday, Oct. 3 with performances at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. by Havana-born pianist Roberto Fonseca.
Tickets to the concerts start at $25 and will be available beginning July 16 at the Manship Theatre box office at 344-0334 or here.

Other dates this season include Karrin Allyson on Jan. 9, Gregory Porter on March 5, and an evening with Branford Marsalis April 2.
This will be the first full season of Jazz Masters for the Arts Council’s new President and CEO Eric Holowacz, who is inviting everyone to come and meet him at the shows.
“The Baton Rouge musical climate is about to get even hotter,” Holowacz says in a press release.
