River city Jazz Masters begins with Eddie Palmieri

The New York Times says pianist Eddie Palmieri can “make a piano roar.” Who doesn’t want to see that? The almost-73-year-old, Grammy-winning jazz pioneer kicks off the River City Jazz Masters series with two performances at the Manship Theatre, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2. Tickets range from $25 to $45.
