River Center hosts inaugural Wing-a-Thon Saturday
Baton Rougeans will get to taste as many chicken wings as they can handle this weekend in the inaugural Wing-a-Thon. The River Center will host the event Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and include all-you-can-eat wings while they last. Children ages 6-12 can get in for $7. Kids younger than 6 get in free. VIP tickets are also available for $35.
Participating restaurants include Pluckers, Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings, Stroubes, Capital City Grill, TJ Ribs, Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar, Savor, Firebelly Concepts, The Londoner, The Bulldog, The Pelican House, Happy’s, Table is Bread, Wings of Glory and Wing Stop. The restaurants will be competing for the title of best wings in Baton Rouge. There will also be voting on spiciest and most unique wings. Voting will conclude at 2 p.m. Winners will be announced at 2:30 p.m.
The event will also include various wing eating and food contests as well as music from Prime Mates. —Matthew Sigur
