“The most recent album I’ve thrown down my cash for is Gary Allan’s Living Hard. Folks might recognize his former hits/singles, ‘Best I Ever Had,’ ‘Life Ain’t Always Beautiful’ and ‘Songs About Rain.’ The current single off this album is titled ‘Watching Airplanes.’ Allan has been classified as a new-traditionalist/neo-traditionalist country artist. I don’t even know what that’s suppose to mean, but I dig the style. It is not by design, but I have a similar country vocal style. I guess that’s why I dig it—keepin’ it traditional without ignoring other influences.”
