Riffs: Lou DeAngelo Sr., painter
“What inspires me are many things: engaging art of all types, being around people who enjoy art, taking chances with my work, pushing the envelope, looking for new ways to go, never being satisfied with my last work. I believe it was Jackson Pollock who said, ‘Without artists there would be no art.’ We need to keep encouraging people who are interested in making art. I talk to a lot of people about art, and a comment I get from them is, ‘I do not understand art.’ My response is, ‘There is nothing to understand. If you like what you see, that should be good enough.’”
