Research Turtles at Chelsea’s

Lake Charles rockers Research Turtles hit Chelsea’s Café on Friday night, fresh returned to the scene with their just-released EP, Mankiller. The quartet of young Louisiana artists are a hit across the pond—their debut album’s opening track, “Let’s Get Carried Away” was voted 2010 Song of the Year by RadioSix International. Now they’re back in fine form with another blast of hook-heavy power-pop. Joining them are local garage-rock outfit The Widowers and Big Easy indie rockers Big Blue Marble. 10 p.m.
