Kevin James’ Paul Blart: Mall Cop made close to $150 million earlier this year which kind of makes this similarly themed, although tonally opposite, dark comedy Observe and Report, sadly redundant. Helmed by Eastbound & Down writer Jody Hill—he of the brilliant new HBO comedy Eastbound & Down—the film stars Seth Rogen as a bi-polar security guard on the trail of a flasher who’s targeting women at a local shopping mall. Ray Liotta appears as a gruff detective who clashes with Rogen when he is called in to solve the case. Aziz Ansari and Anna Faris co-star. Rated R. (Photo courtesy Warner Brothers)
